GREENSBORO, N.C. — Machine Specialties, Inc. (MSI), a leading contract machining and metal finishing specialist, was named one of the "Best Places to Work", by the Triad Business Journal during an awards ceremony held at the Embassy Suites on August 21, 2008.

The purpose of the awards program is to salute Triad companies that excel in providing their employees with exceptional work environments where they feel appreciated and are rewarded for their dedication and hard work. An annual event, the Triad Business Journal's Best Places to Work awards recognizes the top 30 companies in three categories — small, mid-sized, and large — based on the number of employees.

Out of thousands of entries, MSI was named one of the top ten finalists in the mid-sized company category. Based on the measurement of a number of attributes, the winning companies were determined from anonymous online workplace satisfaction surveys that were completed by employees. The results were compiled by an independent firm, Quantum Market Research.
